![]() ![]() Hope this gets you started if not let us know. In there knock the HardWare Acceleration down a bit. From the same screen click on the advanced button then on the perfomance tab. In there click on the Audio Tab in here you can set the "Sound Playback Device" make sure this is correct as sometime windows will default this to the speaker on a modem.ĥ) If it is the correct device then click on teh volume button and make sure that the Front Speaker and Wave volume selectors are at the top and that the mute check boxes are not ticked.Ħ) If it is still not working you can try turning down the hardware accelertion for the sound card. Here are some questions that should help us narrow down the problem.ġ) Is this a new motherboard, if not how old is it?ģ) As it is on-board sound is there a jumper on the board that has disabled the sound?Ĥ) Open the control panel and double click on sound and audio devices. ![]() There is no blanket problem with sound cards on motherboards. ![]()
